Sausage, Bacon & Mushroom Pasta with sauce

4-6sweet italian sausage
1/2 csweet onion, sliced
2 clovegarlic, minced
15 ozcan of dice tomatoes w/oregano, basil & garlic, no salt added, pureed in food processor
2 slicebacon, diced
2 cmushrooms, sliced
1/4 stickunsalted butter
1/2 cparmesan cheese
1 lbdry pasta
How to Make Sausage, Bacon & Mushroom Pasta with sauce
- Slice sausage links in 1/2" slices, place in skillet with diced bacon, onion and garlic and cook until browned. Drain off grease and add mushrooms, puree diced tomatoes, a few drops of lemon juice and a pinch of sugar and salt to taste. Allow to simmer for about 20 min.
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain pasta, add butter and stir until melted. Add 1/4 c parmesan and toss. Now add to sauce and toss well to coat. Garnish with Parmesan and Basil.
