Ingredients
- 4-6 - sweet italian sausage
- 1/2 cup sweet onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 15 ounces can of dice tomatoes w/oregano, basil & garlic, no salt added, pureed in food processor
- 2 slices bacon, diced
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 1/4 stick unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 pound dry pasta
How To Make sausage, bacon & mushroom pasta with sauce

Step 1Slice sausage links in 1/2" slices, place in skillet with diced bacon, onion and garlic and cook until browned. Drain off grease and add mushrooms, puree diced tomatoes, a few drops of lemon juice and a pinch of sugar and salt to taste. Allow to simmer for about 20 min.

Step 2Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain pasta, add butter and stir until melted. Add 1/4 c parmesan and toss. Now add to sauce and toss well to coat. Garnish with Parmesan and Basil.
