My momma has always made this since I can remember. This is really good with blackeyed peas, coleslaw, and sweet tea. It would also be really good for a brunch.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound mild pork sausage
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 can cream of chicken or mushroom soup
  • 1 medium chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • - shredded cheddar cheese

How To Make sausage rice casserole

  • Step 1
    Brown onion and sausage. Drain. Add rice, soup, and milk. Pour into casserole dish. Top with cheddar cheese.
  • Step 2
    Bake at 350* for 15-20 minutes.
  • Step 3
    (we always used cream of mushroom which is better to me but if you don't like mushrooms, use cream of chicken)
