A dear friend served this yummy quiche for our Christmas Brunch many years ago. It has become one of my favorites to serve for my guests, or for a family brunch.

Ingredients

  • 1
    9 inch deep dish pie crust
  • 1
    1 lb. sage sausage
  • 1/2 c
    onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 c
    shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp
    all purpose flour
  • 2/3 c
    evaporated milk
  • 3
    eggs
  • 2 tsp
    parsley flakes

How to Make Sausage Quiche

Step-by-Step

  1. Cook sausage and onion in frying pan until done. Drain. Do not overcook sausage or it will not be as good.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine cheese and flour. Then combine with sausage/onion mixture. Spread in pie shell.
  3. Beat eggs, milk and parsley flakes together and pour over pie.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes or until set and golden brown.
