This is the food that I grew up on. I love biscuits and gravy, even though I have to watch my weight now, it's a treat that I reward myself with once in a while...It's easy to make and so comforting. Enjoy

Ingredients

  • 8 - hot biscuits from the oven. see my recipe for light as a cloud southern biscuits
  • 1 pound jimmy dean sausage
  • 6 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 4 cups 2 cups whole milk and 2 cups evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 2 large eggs, slightly beaten
  • - salt and pepper to taste

How To Make sausage gravy over biscuits

  • Step 1
Brown sausage in a large skillet until done. You do not need to drain grease if it's Jimmy Dean Sausage...Stir four into the sausage mix, coating the sausage. This will prevent gravy from lumping. Pour in both milks, salt and pepper, worcestershire sauce. Let it just barely come to a boil, and stir in eggs. Cook until desired consistency. Serve over biscuits.
