  • 2 pkg
    frozen hash browns
  • 2 lb
    breakfast sausage
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 2-3 c
    milk (whole milk works best)
  • 1 1/2 c
    shredded cheese
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Sausage Gravy and Hashbrown Casserole


  1. Crumble and cook sausage in a large frying pan until no longer pink. Do not drain.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons flour and stir into sausage mixture, let it cook for one minute.
  3. Slowly add milk and bring to a boil.
  4. Let cook for 10 minutes until thickened to desired consistency.
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Meanwhile put both packages of thawed hashbrowns into a 9 x 13 glass dish.
  7. Add shredded cheese.
  8. top with sausage gravy mixture.
  9. Cook at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
