sausage gravy and biscuits

My family loves this recipe :) We eat it on biscuits, toast, and my husband eats it just the way it is!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pork sausage
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • - can of prepared biscuits (if you want)

How To Make sausage gravy and biscuits

  • Step 1
    Crumble and brown the sausage in a deep skillet.
  • Step 2
    Stir in the flour until it is dissolved
  • Step 3
    Gradually add the milk. Cook until thick and bubbly. (I like to add my milk about 1 cup - 2 cups at a time.
  • Step 4
    salt and pepper to taste!
  • Step 5
    SIDE NOTE: you can use 1/2 lb sausage 1/4 c flour and 2 cups milk if you need a smaller portion
