Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound bulk pork sausage
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 2 cans 15 1/2 oz ea, red kidney beans
  • 1 can ( 1lb / 12oz ) tomatoes, cut up
  • 1 can ( 6oz ), tomato paste
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons salt

How To Make sausage chili, crock pot style

  • Step 1
    In a skillet, cook ground beef and bulk pork sausage until browned; drain off excess fat.
  • Step 2
    Transfer meat mixture to a crock pot cooker. Add onion, green pepper, and celery. Stir in undrained kidney beans, undrained tomatoes, tomato paste, garlic, chili powder, and salt.
  • Step 3
    Cover and cook on low heat setting for 8 to 10 hours.
