sausage casserole

My sister gave this recipe to my mom after she married and left home. I'm not sure where she got it from. It may be a Hungry Jack recipe as they were popular at the time. (I can still hear the commercials in my head.)It is very easy and one of my go to meals during the winter when it is cold. The biscuits have a tendency not to get done on the bottom, so my modification is to bake the biscuits separately and to spoon the casserole over a split biscuit. I use the jumbo biscuits, when doing this. If you place the biscuits on top of the casserole use the smaller biscuits. A round casserole dish works best. If you like things spicy, use a hot sausage.
