rich and spicy chili

This recipe was given to me by a close friend and I have in turn been asked to pass it along. To me it's the best chili I've had! Hope you enjoy it.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 1/2 pounds bulk pork sausage
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 1 large green bell pepper
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 3- 14 ounces cans whole tomatoes, undrained and chopped
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cup catsup
- 3 tablespoons chili seasoning packet
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1- 14 ounces can pinto beans, undrained
- 1- 6 ounces can tomato paste
- 1- 14 ounces can beef broth
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper
How To Make rich and spicy chili

Step 1Combine beef and sausage in large dutch oven. Cook until brown, stirring to crumble; drain.

Step 2Add onion and remaining ingredients, except beans, and stir well. Cover and simmer over low heat 2 1/2 hours, stirring frequently. Stir in beans and cook for 30 more minutes. Enjoy!
