pork spare ribs
1 1/2 tsp
1/4 tsp
1 can(s)
8 oz, tomatoes, cut up
2 Tbsp
brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp
caraway seeds
1 can(s)
1lb / 8oz sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
1 large
unpared, tart apple, thinly sliced
1 large
onion, cut into wedges

How to Make Ribs And Kraut, Crock Pot Style


  • 1Cut spare ribs into pieces to fit crock pot. Season with salt and pepper.
    Brown ribs in large skillet.
  • 2Place ribs in bottom of cooker.
  • 3Combine tomatoes, brown sugar, and caraway seed. Stir in sauerkraut,apple, and onion.
    Place mixture on top of meat in cooker.
  • 4Cover and cook on low heat setting for 6 1/2 to 8 hours.
