Ingredients For ribs and kraut, crock pot style

3 lbpork spare ribs

1 1/2 tspsalt

1/4 tsppepper

1 can8 oz, tomatoes, cut up

2 Tbspbrown sugar

1 1/2 tspcaraway seeds

1 can1lb / 8oz sauerkraut, rinsed and drained

1 lgunpared, tart apple, thinly sliced

1 lgonion, cut into wedges
How To Make ribs and kraut, crock pot style

1Cut spare ribs into pieces to fit crock pot. Season with salt and pepper. Brown ribs in large skillet.

2Place ribs in bottom of cooker.

3Combine tomatoes, brown sugar, and caraway seed. Stir in sauerkraut,apple, and onion. Place mixture on top of meat in cooker.

4Cover and cook on low heat setting for 6 1/2 to 8 hours.
