A tasty recipe that is easy on the budget. You can add veggies like broccoli florets or carrots to give it more oomph and heartiness, but you'll probably want to double the sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup chili garlic sauce
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 2 packages ramen noodles (3 oz ea)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted peanuts, chopped
  • 4 - green onions, sliced

How To Make ramen noodles with pork & chile sauce

  • Step 1
    Place the chili garlic sauce, soy sauce and brown sugar in a small bowl. Whisk to combine and set aside.
  • Step 2
    Warm a skillet over medium heat, then add the ground pork. Cook until the pork is fully browned and crumbly.
  • Step 3
    Add the sauce to the pork, along with the peanuts. Simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to reduce by half.
  • Step 4
    Meanwhile, boil water for the ramen noodles. Discard the seasoning packets. Add the noodles to the boiling water and cook according to the package directions. Drain.
  • Step 5
    Add the noodles to the reduced sauce and toss to combine. Noodles should be coated in sauce. Top with the sliced green onions and serve.
