  • 1 1/2 lb
    pork roast, diced into bite-size pieces
  • 1/3 c
  • 1/4 c
    canola oil
  • 1/2 lb
    baby carrots
  • 1 large
    onion, sliced
  • 1/2 c
    english peas
  • 2 c
    chicken broth
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    kitchen bouquet browning sauce
  • ·
    salt & pepper to taste

How to Make Ragout of Pork


  1. Heat oil in deep skillet over medium-high heat. Dredge pork in flour. Add pork and flour to skillet and brown in oil.
  2. Pour in chicken broth and browning sauce. Season with salt & pepper. Add carrots.
  3. Bring to a simmer. Cover and cook over low heat for one hour. Serve over mashed potatoes or rice.
