ham, cooked and cubed
8 medium
potatoes, peeled and sliced
1/4 c
onion, finely chopped
1/2 c
all purpose flour
2 c
3 Tbsp
bread crumbs, dry
1 Tbsp
butter, melted
2 Tbsp
parsley, fresh and chopped

How to Make Potato-Ham Scallop


  • 1Place half the ham in a 2 quart casserole; cover with half the potatoes and half the onion.
  • 2Sift half the flour over; season with salt and pepper.
  • 3Repeat, layering ham, potatoes and onion; season with additional salt and pepper.
  • 4Sift remaining flour atop; pour milk over all.
  • 5Bake covered at 350 until potatoes are nearly tender, 1 to 1 1/4 hours; uncover.
  • 6Combine bread crumbs and melted butter; sprinkle atop casserole.
  • 7Top with parsley and bake 15 minutes longer.
