Ingredients
- 5 pounds pork roast, loin end
- - salt to taste
- - pepper to taste
- 1 - garlic clove, minced
- 2 - onions, sliced
- 2 - bay leaves
- 1 - clove
- 1 cup hot water
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
How To Make pot-roasted pork

Step 1Rub pork roast with salt and pepper.

Step 2Make tiny slits in the meat and insert slivers of garlic.

Step 3Place roast in broiler pan and broil 15-20 minutes to remove excess fat.

Step 4Put 1 sliced onion in the bottom of the crockpot.

Step 5Add browned pork roast and remaining onion and other ingredients.

Step 6Cover and cook on low until done, about 10 hours.

Step 7To thicken gravy: Remove roast to serving platter.

Step 8Blend 2 tablespoons cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water to form a smooth paste.

Step 9Set crockpot on high and pour in the paste.

Step 10Stir well and let it come to a boil, about 15 minutes, or until thickened.
