5 lb
pork roast, loin end
salt to taste
pepper to taste
garlic clove, minced
onions, sliced
bay leaves
1 c
hot water
2 Tbsp
soy sauce

How to Make Pot-Roasted Pork


  • 1Rub pork roast with salt and pepper.
  • 2Make tiny slits in the meat and insert slivers of garlic.
  • 3Place roast in broiler pan and broil 15-20 minutes to remove excess fat.
  • 4Put 1 sliced onion in the bottom of the crockpot.
  • 5Add browned pork roast and remaining onion and other ingredients.
  • 6Cover and cook on low until done, about 10 hours.
  • 7To thicken gravy: Remove roast to serving platter.
  • 8Blend 2 tablespoons cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water to form a smooth paste.
  • 9Set crockpot on high and pour in the paste.
  • 10Stir well and let it come to a boil, about 15 minutes, or until thickened.
