Growing up cooking this dish with some amazing old world ladies, it has evolved into perfection!

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds bonless pork loin cubed
  • 3 cans pink or roman beans
  • 4 cloves roasted garlic
  • 2 - bay leaves, dried
  • - salt and pepper
  • 2 pinches cumnin
  • 1 1/4 - cup red wine
  • 1/4 cup olive oil, extra virgin (only)

How To Make portuguese pork an beans dish

  • Step 1
    cut pork loin into cubes equaling 3lbs worth
  • Step 2
    sautee in olive oil
  • Step 3
    add garlic,wine, cumin, on low heat (be careful not to burn garlic)...
  • Step 4
    add beans, bring to a boil and simmer on low heat for 1hr...... soooo yummy! serve with homemade french fried potatoes! (only use fresh potatoes)
