Pork Tenderloin

This is my adaptation of my former neighbor Mr. Chin's marinated pork. It smelled so go when he cooked it I almost wanted to climb the fence and join him for dinner. He cooked the pork on the grill but I do mine in the oven.

  • 2
    pork tenderloins 3/4 lb. each
  • 1/3 c
    low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 c
  • 1/4 c
    sesame oil
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder

How to Make Pork Tenderloin


  1. In a bowl, whisk together all ingredients except the tenderloins.
  2. Reserve 1/4 c. of the marinade. Refrigerate covered.
  3. Place the remaining marinade in a large zipper bag.
  4. Add the tenderloins. Seal the bag. Turn to coat.
  5. Place the bag in the refrigerator. Let marinate at least 8 hours or overnight. Turn occasionally.
  6. When ready to cook, preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
  7. Discard the marinade the meat was in. Place the tenderloins in a shallow baking dish.
  8. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until done. Use the set aside marinade to baste the meat while it cooks.
  9. Let stand for 5 minutes before slicing.
