This all started as a happy accident. What I thought was pork sausage was actually ground pork. I started thinking about what I had in my "pantry", and this is what I came up with. Hubs can be a picky eater, but he really liked it and said I should make it again :)

Ingredients For pork surprise

  • 1.3 lb
    ground pork
  • 1 1&1/3 c
    uncooked rice
  • 1 15oz can
    cannelini beans, undrained
  • 1 tsp
    garlic & herb seasoning
  • 1 1/4 c
    parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/3 lb
    cream cheese
  • 2 dash
    pepper
  • 1 pinch
    salt

How To Make pork surprise

  • 1
    Start cooking the rice according to package directions.

    In a large non-stick skillet on medium-low heat, cook the ground pork with the garlic & herb seasoning.

    Once the pork has cooked through, add the cannellini beans, stirring to incorporate the beans, and let the mix heat through.

    Add the cream cheese, stirring to mix through.
  • 5
    Add the cooked rice, stirring through.

    Add the Parmesan cheese and stir through. Let it heat through for 5 minutes and Dinner is Done
