This is my grandmothers recipe that my mom used to cook for us growing up. You can manage your salt intake if you choose.

Ingredients

  • 1 - 2 pounds belly pork, cubed
  • 1 medium tomato, cleaned & quartered
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • - salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1 small japanese pumpkin, peeled & cubed
  • 2 packages long beans (ootong), cut into bite size
  • 3 cloves garlic, smashed & chopped
  • 1 tablespoon aloha shoyu (amino acid)

How To Make pork, pumpkin & long beans

  • Step 1
    Fry pork until crispy then add garlic & fry then add salt & pepper. Add enough water to cover pork. Add tomato, shoyu & onion then boil until tomato becomes limp then add pumpkin & cook for 3 more minutes then cover & do not remove but leave on stove for about 1 hour(pumpkin will finish cooking in pot

    Served with hot rice.
