When I met my fiancé, He introduced me to neck bones. I looked this southern comfort food up on the internet and found there weren't very many recipes for it. The one I found is very good. If you have ever wondered how to cook them. Here is a pretty good recipe for them.

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 pounds fresh pork neckbones
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 6 cups water
- 1 - onion,sliced
- 1/2 bunch green onions, chopped (about 4)
How To Make pork neckbones

Step 1Brown the neck bones in the oil. When browned, remove the neck bones to a stockpot. Put the onions in the skillet with the oil. Sauté till browned a little.

Step 2Add water and the onions to the neck bones and bring this to a boil, add the seasonings. Reduce the heat to a slow simmer.

Step 3Cover the pot with a lid. Simmer on low for 1 1/2 hours.

Step 4you can add rice and simmer 15 minutes more. I cook my rice on the side. and pour the juices over the rice.
