4 lb
pork necks
1/2 lb
boiling onions
1/2 lb
baby carrots
1 lb
red potatoes, small
1-1/2 c
chicken broth (best to use low sodium, low or no fat for your health but any kind will due)
salt and pepper to taste
herbs and seasonings to taste
6 c
cooked rice

How to Make Pork Neck Slow Cooker Stew


  • 1Peel onions, slice potatoes thick, and rinse all veggies. Set aside.
  • 2Lightly brown meaty side of pork neck and place in crock pot. Cover with Veggies. Sprinkle on salt, pepper and other seasonings as desired (suite your taste).
  • 3Pour broth over. Cook on low for 5.5 hours. Add 1/2 cup each frozen corn and peas. Continue to cook for 1/2 -1 hour.
  • 4After done cooking, Remove all meat, and veggies and set aside. Remove bones and toss. In saucepan Bring to boil broth/drippings. While heating combine 3 tablespoons flour and 1/4 cup milk/half and half or cream until lumps are gone. Once broth/drippings just begin to boil, add flour/milk mixture and stir continuously until thickened. Pour over meat and veggies and Serve over cooked rice.
