Ingredients
- MEATBALLS
- 1 pound ground pork
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons corn starch
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon chinese 5 spice
- 1/4 teaspoon sambal olek
- BROTH
- 3 cups chicken stock
- 4 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1 cup thinly shredded carrots
- 1 cup fresh bean sprouts
- 4 green onions chopped
- fresh basil for garnish
How To Make pork meatballs in hoisin broth

Step 1Mix all the ingredients for meatballs together and shape into 12 balls.

Step 2Pour the chicken stock into a wide deep pan and stir in the hoisin and ginger. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and add the meatballs. Cover and let poach for about 5 minutes

Step 3Add the carrots, bean sprouts and green onions. Cover and simmer another 5 minutes. Ladle into bowl and garnish with basil
