  • MEATBALLS
  • 1 lb
    ground pork
  • 2 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    corn starch
  • 3 clove
    garlic minced
  • 1 tsp
    chinese 5 spice
  • 1/4 tsp
    sambal olek
  • BROTH
  • 3 c
    chicken stock
  • 4 Tbsp
    hoisin sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    grated ginger
  • 1 c
    thinly shredded carrots
  • 1 c
    fresh bean sprouts
  • 4
    green onions chopped
  • fresh basil for garnish

How To Make pork meatballs in hoisin broth

    Mix all the ingredients for meatballs together and shape into 12 balls.

    Pour the chicken stock into a wide deep pan and stir in the hoisin and ginger. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and add the meatballs. Cover and let poach for about 5 minutes

    Add the carrots, bean sprouts and green onions. Cover and simmer another 5 minutes. Ladle into bowl and garnish with basil
