Pork Lo Mein
1/2 corange juice, fresh
1/2 csoy sauce, dark
1/4 ccanola oil
1/4 cbrown sugar, firmly packed
1 lbpork, cut into strips
1 pkgpeas or pea pods, frozen
1 can(s)water chestnuts (8 oz), drained
1 pkgegg noodles, 16 oz.
How to Make Pork Lo Mein
- Blend juice, soy sauce, oil, sugar and ginger. Add pork, marinade and cover for one hour. Add marinade and pork to skillet and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in cornstarch, blended with water. Bring to a boil, reduce and simmer, stirring until sauce thicken, about 5 minutes. Add vegetables and simmer covered for an additional five minutes.
