The cranberry apple relish is the star of this dish. We could eat it off a cracker on its own. It's tart, sweet and lightly spiced with the cinnamon. There's a delightful crunch from the walnuts. Simply superb! We taste-tested with pork chops, but turkey or chicken breasts would be great with this too.

4 ccranberries, fresh

1 lbapples, peeled, cored, chopped

2 1/2 cbrown sugar

1 cwater

1/2 tspground cinnamon

1 cwalnuts

4-6pork chops
How To Make pork chops with cranberry apple relish

1Combine cranberries, apples, brown sugar and water in a large saucepot.

2Simmer over medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring frequently.

3Stir in cinnamon and walnuts.

4Cook 5 minutes.

5While relish is cooking place 4-6 pork chops in a large frying pan and cook until just shy of done.

6Pour cranberry-apple relish over the pork chops and simmer about 10 minutes to allow flavor to penetrate the meat.

7When plating, place a pork chop on plate and spoon relish over top. Let rest for about 2 minutes. Serve.
