To help reduce clean up, I find it easier to brown pork chops on the side burner on the grill outside. This will reduce the amount of oily cleanup on the stove.

Ingredients

  • 8
    boneless pork chops
  • 1 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • 1 c
    uncooked long grain rice
  • 1 can(s)
    14 1/2 oz. chicken broth
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1 pkg
    (10 oz) frozen peas
  • 1 small
    onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    dried thyme

How to Make Pork Chops over Rice

Step-by-Step

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown pork chops in oil; remove. Drain.
  2. Add remaining ingredients to skillet. Place the pork chops over the rice mixture. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes or until rice is tender.
