Ingredients
- 6 pork chops - bone-in
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup uncooked rice
- 1/2 package taco seasoning
- 1 can 8-oz. can tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 medium green bell pepper, cut into 1/2 inch rings
How To Make pork chops mexican-style

Step 1Season chops with salt and brown in a large skillet that is oven safe.

Step 2Spread rice evenly around and in between the pork chops. Meanwhile, combine tomato sauce with the taco seasoning and water and mix well.

Step 3Pour tomato mixture over the pork and rice. Add green pepper rings over the pork chops. Cover skillet with a lid or foil and back in oven at 350 degrees for 1 - 1 1/4 hours.

Step 4Remove pork chops from oven and sprinkle cheddar cheese over chops. Replace lid to allow the cheese to melt.
