Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 6 pork loin chops (approx. 1/2 pound each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 1/2 cup wine (red or white)
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • salt to taste
  • chopped parsley for garnish

How To Make pork chops in wine sauce

  • Step 1
    Coat the pork chops in flour and set aside.
  • Step 2
    Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and add the chops, browning on each side.
  • Step 3
    Season with salt and pepper and add the garlic, onion. and chicken stock. Whisk together the wine and tomato paste well and add the mixture to the skillet. Cover and reduce heat to low -- simmer gently for one hour.
  • Step 4
    To serve, place the chops on a serving platter with a squeeze of lime. Spoon the sauce over the top and garnish with parsley.
