Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter
- - salt and pepper to taste
- 2 - bone-in pork chops
- 1 - onion, diced
- 1 large granny smith apple, cored, diced
- 1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
- 2 large potatoes, sliced into 1/4"dice
- 1-1/2 cup sauerkraut
- 3/4 cup chicken broth
How To Make pork chops and sauerkraut casserole

Step 1Heat oven to 350. In lg cat iron skillet, melt butter over med-high heat. Season pork chops w/ salt and pepper. Brown chops on both sides.

Step 2Remove chops to a plate. Add onion, apple and caraway seeds to skillet. Cook, stirring until onions are soft.

Step 3Layer in skillet,1/2 the onion mix, chops, and potatoes. Season w/ salt and pepper. Top w/ remaining onion mix and sauerkraut. pour chicken broth over all. Cover tightly w/ foil. Bake 45 mins.
