Ingredients

  • 1 can (16 oz.) peas
  • 1 can (16 oz.) whole kernel corn
  • 1 tablespoon shortening
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 4 cups cubed or ground pork
  • 1 package (6 oz) med. noodles
  • 1 can crm. of mushroom soup
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 cup grated american or cheddar cheese

How To Make pork casserole

  • Step 1
    Drain peas and corn, reserving liquid. Brown pork in shortening. Add onions. celery, salt, water and reserved liquid.
  • Step 2
    Simmer until meat is done.
  • Step 3
    Cook and drain noodles.
  • Step 4
    Add soup, pepper, thyme, peas, corn and cheese.
  • Step 5
    Combine noodle and pork mixtures. Pour into lightly greased casserole. Top with Durkees onion rings.
  • Step 6
    Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, or till bubbly.
