Ingredients

  • 1 can(s)
    (16 oz.) peas
  • 1 can(s)
    (16 oz.) whole kernel corn
  • 1 Tbsp
    shortening
  • 1/2 c
    chopped onion
  • 1 c
    diced celery
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 4 c
    cubed or ground pork
  • 1 pkg
    (6 oz) med. noodles
  • 1 can(s)
    crm. of mushroom soup
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    thyme
  • 1/2 c
    grated american or cheddar cheese

How to Make Pork Casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. Drain peas and corn, reserving liquid. Brown pork in shortening. Add onions. celery, salt, water and reserved liquid.
  2. Simmer until meat is done.
  3. Cook and drain noodles.
  4. Add soup, pepper, thyme, peas, corn and cheese.
  5. Combine noodle and pork mixtures. Pour into lightly greased casserole. Top with Durkees onion rings.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, or till bubbly.
