After removing from the oven I like to shred the meat and mix it with homemade beans and Spanish rice to make a burrito filling but would also make a good taco filling on it's own This recipe is off the Farmland Carnitas meat pkg.

Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground mexican oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried cilantro leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin
- 3 pounds pork picnic shoulder meat
How To Make pork carnitas

Step 1Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Combine all seasonings in small bowl; mix well.

Step 2Place meat in 13x9 baking dish and sprinkle meat with seasoning mix on and coat thoroughly

Step 3Cover pan tightly with foil. Bake for 1 1/2 -2 hrs or until very tender. Remove foil and bake an additional 15-20 min until meat is crisp on outside. Shred or slice meat to your liking
