During the years of feeding five kids, I made these WITHOUT meat. Our kids could invite friends over on game day and I could afford to feed the gang. Now times aren't so tough but I still make these on game day, but WITH meat.

Ingredients
- 2 large french bread loaves
- 2 cans pork and beans
- 16 ounces sliced cheese
- 1 pound bacon (cooked)
How To Make pork and bean boats

Step 1Slice bread one inch thick

Step 2lay single slices on broiler pan. Spoon a layer of pork and beans, then a couple strips of fried bacon and a slice of cheese on top.

Step 3Broil until bread is golden and cheese is melted.
