This was given to me by my husbands cousin. She makes it with tomato soup, but my husband likes 2 jars of beef gravy poured over before baking instead of the tomato soup.

Ingredients For porcupine balls

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/2 lb
    ground pork
  • 1
    small onion, chopped fine
  • 1/2 c
    uncooked rice
  • 1/2 c
    plain bread crumbs
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 can
    tomato soup diluted with 1 can water(or 2 jars of beef gravy depending on your preference)
  • salt and pepper to taste

How To Make porcupine balls

  • 1
    Mix beef, pork, onion, rice, bread crumbs, egg and seasoning.

    Shape into golf ball sized balls. Place in baking dish. Cover with diluted soup (or beef gravy).

    Bake 375 for about 1 hour.
