This was given to me by my husbands cousin. She makes it with tomato soup, but my husband likes 2 jars of beef gravy poured over before baking instead of the tomato soup.

1 lb
ground beef
1/2 lb
ground pork
small onion, chopped fine
1/2 c
uncooked rice
1/2 c
plain bread crumbs
1 can(s)
tomato soup diluted with 1 can water(or 2 jars of beef gravy depending on your preference)
salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Porcupine Balls


  • 1Mix beef, pork, onion, rice, bread crumbs, egg and seasoning.
  • 2Shape into golf ball sized balls.
    Place in baking dish.
    Cover with diluted soup (or beef gravy).
  • 3Bake 375 for about 1 hour.
