Ingredients

  • 4 pounds country style ribs
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon powdered ginger
  • 1 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1/3 cup cider vinegar
  • 1 can 15 oz. crushed pineapple (including juice)

How To Make polynesian ribs

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Season the ribs with pepper and place in a pan and cover with foil. Bake for 1 hour.
  • Step 2
    Combine all the other ingredients in a saucepan. Simmer until slightly thickened. Remove from the heat and reserve 1/2 cup of the liquid to use as gravy.
  • Step 3
    Remove the ribs from the oven and baste with the non-reserved liquid. Cover and bake until tender, another 30 to 60 min, basting occasionally.
  • Step 4
    Serve over rice and drizzle with reserved liquid.
