orange ginger apple pork roast
(1 RATING)
I just made this up today because I was wanting to do an apple and pork roast but all of the recipes I found had sliced onion in them. With the picky eaters in my home the apples would have went to waste if they saw the onion slices. So I improvised, with wonderful results. I decided that I wanted to twist it up a bit so I used cinnamin apple sauce, and a wonderful product that I just discovered last week, Fusia's Orange Ginger Wok Sauce. I will never again be happy if this is not in my pantry. It goes with just about anything.

Ingredients
- 3 pounds boneless pork roast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 cup cinnamon apple sauce
- 1/2 cup orange ginger wok sauce
- 2 tablespoons oil to brown roast
- 1 1/4 tablespoons corn starch to thicken glaze
How To Make orange ginger apple pork roast
-
Step 1Brown pork roast in heavy skillet and hot oil on all sides, place into prepared crockpot. I prepare my crockpot by spraying it well with a non-stick cooking spray, easier clean up.
-
Step 2mix everything else together and pour over roast and cook on high for 4-6 hours. Turning once every hour or so to be sure glaze is coating entire roast. Test for doneness, let set for 5-10 minutes, slice across grain, and drizzle excess glaze from crockpot over the slices, serve.
