Ingredients
- 4 - pork chops
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 package ranch dressing mix, divided
- 2 tablespoons bacon grease or oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 - onion, sliced thin
- 1 can mushrooms
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger, ground
- 1/4 teaspoon thyme, leaves dried
- 1/2 cup water or chicken broth
- 1 cup canned fried onions, crushed
How To Make onion ranch pork chops

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Step 2In a bag mix flour, 1 tbsp of the ranch dressing mix and salt, pepper to taste. Coat pork chops in flour mixture. In an oven proof skillet, heat bacon grease or oil. Sear pork chops on both sides till brown. Remove chops from pan and set aside. Drain grease from pan.

Step 3Melt butter in pan and add onions. Saute 3-5 minutes until tender. Add mushrooms and balsamic vinegar. Saute an additional 3-4 minutes till vinegar is absorbed. Add wine to deglaze pan. Add soup, sour cream, spices, water or broth and remaining ranch dressing mix. Stir to combine and simmer 5-6 minutes.

Step 4Add pork chops back to pan and turn to coat. Sprinkle half of the fried onions on top of chops. Cover and bake for 45 to 50 minutes.

Step 5Remove from oven, sprinkle remaining onions on chops. Return to oven and bake uncovered for an additional 10 to 15 minutes.
