oh baby! bacon mac & cheese

My BFF & I combined our two favorite mac & cheese recipes and it turned into the best mac & cheese recipe!!! Its sooo good, full of cheesy bacony goodness!!! This recipe will not dissapoint!!! :)

Ingredients

  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 2 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder (optional)
  • 2 teaspoons seasoning salt
  • 5 cups half and half
  • 4 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups grated cheese to sprinkle on top
  • 1 cup bacon cut into small bits & cooked

How To Make oh baby! bacon mac & cheese

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375* In a Medium sauce-pan, melt butter; stir in flour, mustard, and salt. Gradually stir in milk. Cook & stir until mixture thickens slightly. ( Mixture should coat spoon) Remove from heat. Add 4 cups cheese; Stir until melted. Stir in cooked macaroni into the sauce mixture.
  • Step 2
    Grease large casserole dish. Pour Macaroni into the dish and top with 2 cups (or less) of grated cheese. Last but not least, sprinkle the cooked bacon bits all over top of macaroni casserole. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until casserole is bubbly and a tad browned ontop. OH BABY! :) ENJOY!
