not quite shepard's pie
A lot of times I get inspired by my fridge and pantry. I usually have "teen" testers, and this was approved yummy.

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground sausage
- 1/2 package onion soup mix
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 4 - potatoes
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon oregano, dried
- - fresh parsley
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
How To Make not quite shepard's pie

Step 1Peel, boil and mash the potatoes mix in the garlic powder, set aside.

Step 2In a skillet brown the sausage, stir in the onion soup mix, red wine, flour and oregano...it will thicken slightly.

Step 3place in a casserole dish, let cool a bit, top with the mashed potatoes and smooth out...sprinkle the cheese evenly and bake at 350 degrees for about 30 mins or until the sides are bubbly and the cheese is melted...garnish with parsley...note* no need for salt as the onion soup mix has.
