Ingredients
- 1 - pork loin or 2 tenderloins
- 2 - granny smith apples sliced
- 1 - large onion
- 1 package drained, rinsed and dried saurkraut
- - olive oil
- - applejack whiskey or apple liquor
- - salt and pepper
- - dried sage
- - garlic powder
How To Make new year pork roast

Step 1preheat oven to 375 -or- crock pot to high wash rinse and drain kraut on paper towel Season roast with salt, pepper, sage, garlic powder. Set aside

Step 2In large saute pan, heat oil, saute apples & onions til golden. Add kraut and whiskey-about 1/4 cup.

Step 3Layer kraut mixture in bottom of roasting pan or crock pot Add roast Cook 4 hours in Crock -or- 45min-1hour in oven. (if kraut looks dry in oven-add chicken stock or beer to moisten)
