"NAWLINS" White Beans & Yellow Rice

Ingredients

14 ozandouille sausage, sliced 1/4 inch

2 Tbspextra virgin olive oil

3/4 cred, orange, yellow bell peppers, chopped

1 mediumwhite onion, chopped

4 mediumgarlic cloves, chopped

1/2 ccelery, chopped
-
48 ozgreat northern beans and liquid
-
2 largebay leaves
-
1/2 tspthyme, dried
-
2 tspcreole seasoning
-
1 Tbspsriracha
-
2 dash(es)liquid smoke flavoring
-
3 cyellow rice cooked, according to package-add a of pinch saffron
-
2 Tbspitalian parsley, chopped
How to Make "NAWLINS" White Beans & Yellow Rice
- Add olive oil to a 5 quart heated stock pot or Dutch oven. Sauté sausage slices for 5 minutes or until golden brown. Add peppers, onion, garlic and celery. Sauté until translucent.
- Add remaining ingredients to pot. Simmer for 45-50 minutes or so.
- Oil a 4 inch bowl with olive oil. Place cooked rice in bowl. Place rice bowl in the middle of a serving platter or bowl. Lift rice bowl and add beans around rice. Garnish with parsley. Enjoy!
