I think I found this recipe in a newspaper in the 80's. I have been making it ever since, it tastes great and the persentation looks wonderful. very colorful. enjoy xoxo

Ingredients

2 Tbsp
butter
2 Tbsp
flour
1 c
milk
1/2 tsp
salt
1 c
cheese mozzarella, shredded
1/2 lb
italian sausage, mild, remove casings
1 c
zuchinni, sliced
2 c
pasta, cooked ( i use wide egg noodles)
1/2 c
tomatoes, chopped
1/4 c
onions

How to Make NAPOLI CASSEROLE

Step-by-Step

  • 11. Make white sauce with the butter, milk, flour and salt.
    Add, 1/2 cup cheese and stir until melted. Remove casings from sausage, cut into pieces, brown in skillet.
  • 22. Add zuchinni, and onion. cook until tender, drain. Stir in white sauce, noodles and tomato.
    Pour into 1 1/2 qt. casserole dish.
    top with remaining cheese.
  • 33. Bake at 350* for 20 minutes.
    pass a tossed green salad and garlic bread for a yummy quick dinner, great leftover also. I usually have to double this recipe, the flavors are wonderful together, enjoy. xoxo. freezer friendly..
