Ingredients

  • 1
    ham, bone in
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, packed
  • 1 c
    water
  • 1 c
    apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp
    ginger powder
  • 1 tsp
    allspice, ground
  • 1 tsp
    dry mustard

How to Make Mrs. Benson's Ham

Step-by-Step

  1. Place ham in large stockpot. Combine sugar, water, vinegar, and spices. Pour over ham. Cook on low for two hours, turning a couple of times. Allow to cool in liquid. Enjoy warm or cold.
