moms stuffed green peppers
I loved stuffed green peppers, so when I had some nice big ones from my garden I called my mom because she makes fantastic stuffed green peppers. This is her recipe and it is easy and very yummy!!! Hope you like them!

Ingredients
- 6 - nice size green peppers
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 1/2 pound ground ham
- - the meat department at our grocery store will make this meat mixture for me, so ask them if they will grind and mix it for you.
- 1/2 cup uncooked white rice
- - salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt (or more if you like)
- 46 ounces can tomato juice
- 1/4 cup k-up
How To Make moms stuffed green peppers

Step 1Par cook the rice in some water for 2 or 3 minutes. drain off the water

Step 2Add the rice, garlic salt and 1 1/4 cup of the tomato juice to the meat mixture.

Step 3cut off the tops of the green peppers and fill them with the meat mixture. Place the peppers in a dutch oven combine the k-up and the rest of the tomato juice, then poor over the peppers, also add about 2 cups of water.

Step 4bring to a boil. cover and simmer for 2 hours, spooning sauce over peppers once in awhile until done.
