mom's meatloaf

This recipe was my late mother's and one of my favorites growing up. I added the vension as a variety and it is really tasty. This recipe can also be rolled into balls to make meatballs with b-b-q sauce or for spagetti. Just adjust the oven tempature to 400 bake for 10-15 mintues on an ungreased cookie sheet. YUM!

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds lean ground chuck, beef or vension meat
- 1/4 pound ground sausage
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 - eggs, slightly beatened
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt , black pepper and chili powder
- 1/2 - chopped green pepper
- 1 1/2 cups finely crushed cracker crumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon parsely flakes
How To Make mom's meatloaf

Step 1Mix all ingreidents in a large bowl ubntil well combined.

Step 2Place meat into a roasting pan or baking dish and shape into a loaf. Add 1/2 cup of water to bottom of the pan.

Step 3Bake for 1 1/2 hours in a 350 oven.

Step 4After an hour, check for dryness and add more water if needed and cook for another 1/2 hour. At this time you may if you wish add ketchup or tomato sauce on top of meatloaf, or leave plain for gravy later.
