- 1 tablespoon molasses
- 2 cloves chicken bouillion cubes
- 21/2 cups water
- 1 pound can bean sprouts (drained)
- 1 tablespoon brown gravy
- 5-oz cans bamboo shoots (drained)
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup soy sauce

Step 1brown beef or pork,mushrooms in shortening add onions.celery,ginger,salt,pepper,bouillon cubes,water: simmer stirring occasionally 20-30 mins until meat is tender.

Step 2add beansprouts.chestnuts,bamboo shoots conbine cornstarch,soysauce. stir into mixture; simmer 10 min. serve over hot cooked rice or chow mein noodles sprinkle 1/4 toasted almonds (opional)
