Ingredients

  • 1 package bulk pork sausage, cooked, drained & crumbled
  • 4 cups cubed day old bread
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 10 - eggs, slightly beaten
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon mustard, ground
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • - black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes

How To Make *** mom's brunch casserole ***

  • Step 1
    Place bread in 9 x 13" buttered baking dish, sprinkle with cheese.
  • Step 2
    Combine next 6 ingredients. Pour over cheese/bread mixture. Sprinkle sausage, mushrooms & tomatoes over the top. Cover & chill overnight.
  • Step 3
    Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  • Step 4
    Bake uncovered for 1 hour. Tent with foil if top browns too quickly.
