This recipe is sooooo good and surprisingly easy to do. You can do these wonderful ribs right in the oven and people just rave about them. The sauce for this recipe is very easy to make and you can use it over pork chops, shoulder, or most any other pork cut and it is absolutely delicious. I rarely buy bottled sauce anymore. I hope you enjoy this recipe!
1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a large roasting pan with enough foil to wrap ribs. Place ribs in foil and generously sprinkle with salt and pepper on both side. Wrap tightly in foil and bake for about for about 30 minutes, then reduce heat to 275 and bake for 5 to 6 hours.
2Remove ribs from oven and turn back foil. If ribs have an excessive amount of broth, pour off excess. Brush generously with homemade barbecue sauce (instructions to follow) and return to oven and broil on high for about 5 minutes or until ribs are well browned.
3HOMEMADE BARBECUE SAUCE: In a medium saucepan, whisk all ingredients together until sugar is dissolved. Heat to boiling and then reduce heat to medium and cook until reduced by about one third. Serve over ribs, roasts, chops or use as a dip for chicken tenders or nuggets. Makes about 2 cups of barbecue sauce.
