Ingredients

  • 12 ounces beer
  • 12 ounces water
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • - salt to taste
  • 3 pounds rough ground beef
  • 2 pounds rough ground pork
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup green bell pepper chopped
  • 1/2 cup red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 cup tomato paste
  • 5 - whole jalapeno peppers
  • 5 - garlic cloves, minced
  • 6 tablespoons masa harina
  • 1 tablespoon pepper sauce
  • 3 tablespoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon honey

How To Make mescalero chili

  • Step 1
    Put beer and water into a large pot and bring to a boil.
  • Step 2
    Add tomato sauce, soy sauce and salt to taste.
  • Step 3
    Fry meat and then add to pot.
  • Step 4
    Saute the onions and bell peppers in the meat grease and add to pot.
  • Step 5
    Add tomato paste and all other ingredients.
  • Step 6
    Cook for 45 minutes stirring often.
