Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 1/2 lb
    bulk italian sausage
  • 1/2 c
    minced onion
  • 1 tsp
    italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp
    dried sage
  • 1 c
    unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 c
    whole wheat bread crumbs
  • 1/2 c
    unprocessed oat bran

How to Make Meat Cakes

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix all ingredients together well.
  3. Place 1/3 cup (2 ounces) mixture in each of 16 muffin cups.
  4. Bake at 350 until done, about 1 hour.
  5. Remove from muffin tins.
  6. Serve hot or cold.
