onion, chopped

instant potato flakes, dry
egg, slightly beaten
1 can(s)
beef broth
1/2 c
1/2 tsp
1/2 tsp
italian seasoning

How to Make Meat and Potato Loaf


  • 1In a large bowl, combine all ingredients.
  • 2Shape into a 7" meatball.
  • 3Place a trivet in pot.
  • 4Place meat ball on a double thickness of cheesecloth (about 24" square).
  • 5Holding the ends of cheesecloth, gently lower meat into pot.
  • 6Loosely fold cloth over top of meat.
  • 7Cover; cook on low 6-7 hours.
  • 8Holding ends of cloth, lift meat from pot.
  • 9Cut into wedges.
  • 10Makes 6 or 7 wedges.
