Ingredients For maverick chili

2 lbsmoked pork neck bones

1 cV8 juice

12 ozbeer, not lite

1 Tbspchocolate syrup

1 Tbspmaggi sauce

1/2 cmexican oregano

1 Tbspmexican oregano

4 Tbspcumin, freshly ground

1.5 ctomato paste
-
4garlic cloves, minced
-
3.5 Tbspchili powder

1 Tbspsalt
-
2 Tbsppepper sauce
-
4jalapenos, cored, seeded, minced

3 lgonions, coarsely chopped
-
1 cgreen bell pepper, chopped

4 ctomato sauce
-
3.5 lbbeef brisket, rough ground

1 cstrong coffee
How To Make maverick chili

1Pick meat off of the neck bones and chop coarsely.

2Place meat, onions, bell peppers, garlic into a large heavy pot and saute\' until meat is browned.

3Add all liquid ingredients and 3 tablespoons of cumin alomg with all other spices.

4Bring to a slow, rolling boil.

5Cook at this point for 10 minutes then reduce heat to simmer, add remaining ingredients except the 1 tablespoon of cumin left, cover and cook for 1 hour.

6Be sure to stir fairly often.

7Add the remaining cumin and cook for 5 minutes.

8Serve or refrigerate and re-heat for a better pot of chili.
