When my son Tim was little he didn't know how to pronounce sloppy joes. He would call them chubby joes. So that name just stuck with us. We always called our son Timboman, so we decided to call this Recipe Timboman's Chubby Joes. hope you enjoy them. :)

Ingredients

  • 2-3 pounds beef or pork roast
  • 1 package mccormick beef stew seasoning mix
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 bottle kc masterpiece steakhouse marinade
  • 2 tablespoons kc masterpiece steakhouse marinade
  • 1/2 cup shredded or finely chopped red peppers

How To Make timboman's chubby joes (bbq pulled pork or beef)

  • Step 1
    Place beef or pork on cutting board and cut into 1-2 inch slices. Sprinkle with McCormick Beef stew seasoning mix or any other name brand seasoning mix. Toss and mix thoroughly until seasoning mix covers all of the meat.
  • Step 2
    Place meat in crock pot and pour water on top. Cook on high for 3-4 hours.
  • Step 3
    Remove meat from crock pot and pull apart in separate bowl. Mix in brown sugar. Poor leftover juice from crock pot into storage bowl and save for another meal. Shred or finely chop red pepper. Put 2 heaping tablespoons of Steakhouse marinade in heated skillet and add red pepper. cook until just heated through. Mix into meat.
  • Step 4
    Place meat back into crock pot. Add KC Masterpiece Steakhouse Marinade to meat and mix well. put crock pot on low or warm and heat through. If you like a little more sweeter flavor add a little more brown sugar to taste. Serve on warm buns.
